A Level I inspection is appropriate for chimneys that have been in regular use with no changes to the appliance or fuel type — it covers accessible portions of the exterior, interior, and accessible attic, basement, and crawl spaces. A Level II inspection is recommended when any changes have been made to the system, when a property is being sold, or after an event such as a chimney fire or severe weather. Level II includes video scanning of the flue liner. We will recommend the appropriate level based on your system's documented history.
